The Walther PPK (Polizei Pistole Kurz) was firstly introduced in 1931. It is more compact version of the standard Walther PP. A typical design makes it one of the most iconic pistols ever. It's the only gun that was used by all the James Bond actors. The PPK is sometimes known as the Polizei Pistole Criminal, due to its massive use by certain criminal groups in the second half of the century. The PPK original design was influenced also by limitations of the American Firearms Owners Protection Act in 1968. The PPK has similar smooth lines and the same internal workings as other models from Walter's family. The only external design modification, except the different dimensions; is the handgrip. It has a trigger guard on the left-hand side of the slide that serves also as an uncocking lever for a hammer. The Walther RRK is produced in. 22 LR, .32 ACP and Short .380 ACP calibers. The barrel length is 3 1/4 inches, total length is 6 inches, and it weights 590g. Most of the PPK pistols were produced with steel frames; also there were couple of aluminum-framed PPK/L (Lightweight) pistols made as well. The Walther PPK belongs to classic guns with its beautiful sophisticated lines. These pistols have been sold globally in large numbers, mainly in the U.S. The PPK is often used also as a small backup gun due to its blowback design. It is a very popular weapon because of its accuracy, easy manipulation and concealment.
